Helping First Grade Friends with Chromebooks!

First graders in Mrs. Poor's class are about to start some research projects and our class helped them learn how to use their Chromebooks to do this work!  Logging in, navigating the RES Site, and choosing an animal to read about using PebbleGo.  The 4th graders were great teachers!

Biography Sharing Day in our class!!!!

Today was a wonderful day!!!!!  We got to learn from each other while having a whole lot of fun!  Students shared their biography genre study with each other, and gave feedback on presentations.  Huge thanks to Mrs. Danilich for going above and beyond getting us some extra costumes and props from CHMS, and thanks to Mrs. Spence for seeking out some sideburns and beards for some of our characters!

Skiing and Boarding at Snow Motion!

Miss Poncelet caputred a fun moment at Cochran's last Friday! It was a great first day enjoying the Vermont winter - and getting out on the slopes!  So fun!

Feeling the Energy!

Our class is working hard to learn about forms of renewable and nonrenewable energy!  We're gearing up to present our learning to a panel of administrators and teachers on this Thursday!  So exciting!

GeoBee Success!

This week the kids in our RES 4th Grade have all been participating in the GeoBee!  Today we had a final celebration and competition in the library and I'm happy to report that the entire group displayed incredible spirit, support, good sportsmanship, and excitement for the success of their peers.  It was so heart warming and wonderful to experience.  All of the kids worked hard this week and I'm deeply proud of them.  The questions were tough and the content was rich and exciting.  We learned alot along the way! Woo hoo!

Living the Dream

This week the 4th graders and their kinderbuddies will be hosting an All-School Meeting, celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  We'll be celebrating peace, kindness, and appreciating each other.  There will be songs, learning, and reflection about what it means to help each other - is Monday, January REALLY a DAY OFF?  Sure it is!  But while kids are not in school, it's really a DAY ON!  We'll be talking about ways that we can do things to help each other and make our little corner of the world a better place - even if it's in just a small way - every bit matters.

It's a Wonderful World.....

Hi, All! It's our GeoBee Week at RES!  4th graders will be doing their GeoBee quizzes Tuesday-Thursday of this week and it'll be sure to be a lot of fun!  So much to learn and explore!  Be sure to check out the sites in your email, kids, to boost your readiness for the week!  Enjoy the ride!
