 We've been making representations of multiplication with ARRAYS!  Here's some of our work!  We discovered some truths about factors when we were done and made a chart!  In case you want to have some fun math conversations at home, check out this chart below! 

These first few days of school we will have lots of conversations about setting up our classroom community so that everyone  feels  and  is able to do  their very best.  We started our conversation today with a silly video about "Classroom Rules" and ended up making a wonderful chart of ideas stating what we hope our classroom looks like, sounds like, and feels like.  Take a peek!  Nice work, kids! It was an amazing day in 4th Grade today!  It was lovely to meet all of the children and get our journey started!  Here are some of the images and events of our day.  Thank you so much to all of the families who sent in materials for their students, donated items to the classroom, and visited to say hello!  We look forward to our year ahead with great excitement and anticipation! We started the day with a pretty challenging Math Talk!  So impressed!  Wow! Enjoying the sunshine! What great readers!  Checking out the new rocker chairs! Looks like a good book! It's almost time!  All of us at RES are getting excited to welcome you back to school next week!  The building is buzzing with anticipation and classrooms are getting ready!  Teachers are looking forward to seeing students and families again, and taking another year's journey through lots of new and amazing learning adventures!  Breathe in that sweet summer air and enjoy these wonderful August days.....see ya soon! -Mrs. B.
